Imke Reimers begins her first season volunteering with the Ithaca College women’s tennis team in 2024-25.
A native of Papenburg, Germany, Reimers played collegiately at Division I the University of Nebraska- Lincoln where she played at No. 1 singles and doubles for two years, while leaving her mark with the Cornhuskers program. She’s still currently third in career singles victories (90), fourth in career singles win percentage (.726) and fifth in career doubles wins (74). Reimers was also a two-time All-Big 12 conference selection in both singles and doubles and was a two-time Academic All-American.
Her prior coaching experience includes serving as a volunteer assistant at the University of Minnesota where she worked with the women’s program. She’s also helped coach junior players who have gone on to play Division I tennis at Nebraska, Cal Berkeley and Gonzaga.
Reimers earned her bachelor's in mathematics and economics and received a PhD in economics from the University of Minnesota in 2013. She is an associate professor of strategy and business economics at the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at nearby Cornell University.
