Biography

2007-08: Botterbusch added six more all-America honors to her resume, capped by a season-best eighth-place finish with the school-record-setting 200-yard medley relay team. She also set school records with the 400-yard medley relay (15th at nationals) and in both the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststokes (placing ninth and 13th, respectively at the NCAA meet). Botterbusch also earned all-America recognition with 15th-place efforst in the 200 and 400-yard freestyle medley relays. She won NYSWCAA and Empire 8 titles in both breaststroke events and all four relay events.

2006-07: Botterbusch competed in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke at the NCAA Championships after winning state and conference titles in those events. She also qualified for nationals as a member of the 200- and 400-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay teams. She ranked second on the team in points and registered a school, conference and conference championship record time in the 200-yard medley relay. She also won the state and conference title in the 400-yard freestyle relay and was named to the NYSWCAA All-Academic Team.
 
2005-06: Botterbusch earned all-American honors in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke, placing ninth and 11th with respective times of 1:06.19 and 2:24.63 at the NCAA Championships, where she also competed in the 200-yard individual medley. She won NYSWCAA and Empire 8 titles in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke and the 800-yard freestyle relay, and was the conference champion in the 200-yard medley relay, helping her earn state and conference Rookie of the Meet honors. Botterbusch was a five-time all-conference performer and her times in the 100- (1:05.66) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:23.52) set seven conference, conference championship, school and state championship records. She recorded 12 top-three finishes, including nine first-place performances, and was the Bombers’ leading scorer with 429.75 points. Her time of 2:12.24 in the 200-yard individual medley ranks sixth on Ithaca’s all-time list.
 
High School: A 2005 graduate of Dallastown Area High School, Botterbusch was coached by Richard Howley. She was a four-year letter winner and served as team captain her senior year. Botterbusch was named Rookie of the Year (2002) and team MVP (2004) and was a four-time all-county selection. She was awarded the Dallastown High School Swimming Scholarship her senior year.
 
Personal: The daughter of Frederick and Janice Botterbusch, she is an Occupational Therapy major.
