Biography
2007: Rice was named Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year and earned first-team all-conference accolades. A first-team all-state selection, she earned second-team all-region honors. Rice scored the Bombers’ final goal in their conference win over RIT. She was named to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List following the fall semester.
2006: Rice played in 13 games and started the last nine games of the year. She scored a goal in the NCAA playoff win over Brockport. In her first start of the season, she assisted on a second-half goal in the win over Cortland.
2005: Rice clinched Ithaca’s trip to the NCAA playoffs, converting the decisive penalty kick against Nazareth in the Empire 8 final. She started 12 of the season’s last 13 games.
High School: A 2005 graduate of Sutton Memorial High School, she was coached by Mike Webber and Hussein Issa. An all-state selection in 2004, she was named the team's top defensive player as a sophomore and was honored as team MVP as a senior.
Personal: A clinical science/physical therapy major, she is the daughter of Steven and Nancy Rice.
