Biography

2013: Jones started all 22 of Ithaca’s games on defense, giving her a program record 85 starts over the course of her four seasons as a Bomber. She earned All-Empire 8 Honorable Mention, which marked the second all-conference honor of her career. Jones secured three points on the year, coming on one goal and one assist. Jones’ goal, the game winner, came against Oneonta on Oct. 22, 2013. She was part of a defense that allowed the fewest goals per game (.41) in the Empire 8 and helped hold opponents to just nine goals against throughout the season. Jones was the recipient of the Robert C. Deming Leadership Award, which is presented to student-athletes who have been recognized for athletic ability, maintained high standards in the classroom and demonstrated outstanding leadership on campus and in the community. | Game-by-game statistics 

2012: Jones started 22 games for the Bombers in 2012. She played in a total of 1,959 minutes during the season, leaving the field on only two occasions. Jones set career highs with two goals and four points. Her first goal of the season came in the Bombers’ 6-0 win over Elmira on Sept. 12, 2012. | 2012 game-by-game statistics

2011: A mainstay of Ithaca’s defense, Jones was a second-team selection to the Empire 8 all-star team. She started every match on Ithaca’s back line and helped Ithaca record nine shutouts and hold opponents to an average of less than four shots on goal per game. | 2011 game-by-game statistics

2010: Playing in each of the Bombers’ 19 matches, Jones tallied one goal and one assist during her freshman campaign. Her goal came in a 5-1 rout of Plattsburgh and she dished out her assist in a 2-0 victory over visiting St. John Fisher. | 2010 game-by-game statistics

High School: A 2010 graduate of Gwynedd Mercy Academy, Jones was a four-time letter-winner. She served as team captain as a junior and senior and was named team MVP both years. Jones earned all-league honors and was also a four-year letter-winner in track & field (winning a state title with the 3,200-meter relay team).

Personal: A physical therapy major, she is the daughter of Jay and Melanie Jones.
