Mia Moody, an assistant coach at Valparaiso for the past two years, has joined the staff at Ithaca College as an assistant coach with the women's soccer program.
Moody helped the Division I Crusaders to a record of 21-14-4 in 2008 and 2009. Valparaiso reached the Horizon League Championship Tournament final last fall after placing third in the regular-season standings; both finishes were the program's best ever.
She also has experience as head coach of the Northwest Undiana U-17 and assistant with the Dynamo FC girs teams. She holds her USSF National D Coaching License.
As a player, Moody was a three-year player at Indiana University-Purdue Uinversity Indianapolis (she transferred to IUPUI after playing at Texas as a freshman). She was named to the Mid Continent Conference All-Academic Team three times.
Moody earned her bachelor's degree from IUPUI in 2007 and earned her master's in sports administration from Valparaiso in May.
