An assistant women’s soccer coach since 1987, Jeff Long has helped the Bomber program to
a 292-80-57 record and two national championships during his tenure. Long is also the men’s lacrosse coach at Ithaca.
Long works primarily with the goalkeepers. He has worked with Beth Howland, the 1991 Intercollegiate Soccer Athletic Association (ISAA) goalkeeper of the year and a 1998 inductee into the Ithaca College Athletic Hall of Fame; and Emily Johnson, who earned NSCAA second-team all-American honors in 1993.
Long’s 21-year lacrosse coaching record is 196-103 with 11 postseason berths, including seven NCAA playoff appearances. Ithaca finished 17-3 and advanced to the NCAA Semifinals in 2008. Long has been named Empire 8 Coach of the Year five times and was named the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Coach of the Year in 1992.
