Biography

2013: A first-team IWLCA All-Empire Region selection, Rivas set school records with 184 career goals and 251 career points in 2013. She led the team with 57 goals, a mark that ranks third all-time for single-season scoring. Rivas was named the Empire 8 Player of the Year, earned conference first-team nods and was selected to the Empire 8 Championship Tournament all-tournament team in May. She earned Empire 8 Player of the Week honors April 22 and was awarded Ithaca College’s Robert C. Deming Leadership Award. Rivas, who started each of the Bombers’ 18 games, dished out 20 assists to rank second on the squad. She led the team with 77 points and six game-winning goals, while chipping in 35 ground balls, 13 draw controls and eight caused turnovers. 2012: Rivas was named Empire 8 Player of the Year in 2012 and received All-Empire 8 first-team praise. She was named to the IWLCA All-Empire 8 Region team and tallied Empire 8 Player of the Week nods on April 16. Rivas finished the season with team-bests of 52 goals and 28 assists for 80 points, a total that ranks second in single-season points at Ithaca. She finished the season with 127 goals, five of which were game-winners, to rank ninth all-time at Ithaca, 47 assists to sit eighth and 174 points to rank eighth. 2011: An All-Empire 8 second-team selection, Rivas started each of the Bombers’ 18 games as a sophomore. Rivas led the team with 14 assists and ranked second on the squad with 44 goals. Her 58 points also ranked second on the team. Rivas had a team-best 44 draw control victories, while adding 22 ground balls and four caused turnovers. She had a season-best six goals against St. John Fisher and tallied three or more on nine outings, while adding season-bests of three assists, four ground balls and six draw controls. | 2011 Game-by-Game Statistics

2010: Rivas played in each of the Bombers’ 17 games as a freshman. She recorded 36 points to rank fourth on the team on 31 goals and five assists. Rivas was named Empire 8 Player of the Week and Womenslacrosse.com Rookie of the Week after a season-best five-goal performance in Ithaca’s 13-11 victory over Stevens. Career Statistics

High School: A 2009 graduate of East Meadow High School, Rivas was coached by Colleen McMahon and earned four varsity letters. She was named all-county and all-conference and was an academic all-American as a junior. She was also a member of the field hockey and indoor track & field teams.

Personal: A legal studies major, she is the daughter of Nelson and Khin Rivas.
