Biography
2009: Cox played in four games as a junior, starting all of them. She scored four goals, including two against Vassar.
2009 Game-by-Game
2008: Cox started all 17 games as a sophomore, tallying 14 goals and six assists. She also recorded 21 draw controls, 20 ground balls and eight caused turnovers. Cox had three multi-goal games, with two each against Rensselaer, Utica and in the Empire 8 tournament against Nazareth. She scored the game-winning goal in Ithaca’s win over Alfred.
2007: Cox started every game and was the top scorer among Ithaca’s freshmen. She ranked second on the team with 28 draw controls and her 17 ground balls were second among the team’s newcomers. Cox scored four points – including three goals – against Wells in her first collegiate game. She added multiple -goal efforts against Buffalo State, Elmira and Utica. She scored the game-tying goal with nine minutes left in Ithaca’s upset of #6 Cortland and scored the game-winner against Elmira. She posted season-best totals of four draw controls in the wins over Wells and Vassar.
Career Statistics
High School: A 2006 graduate of Honeoye Falls-Lima High School, Cox was coached by Kevin O’Connell. She earned three letters and was a three-time all-county selection. Cox captained the team for three seasons. She was also a member of Honeoye Falls-Lima’s seven-time state champion teams in cross country and cross country skiing.
Personal: An environmental science major, she is the daughter of Greg and Betsy Cox. Her sister Hillary is a member of the lacrosse team.
