Sammie Brawn

Biography

2008: Brawn competed on the balance beam in all eight regular-season meets for the Bombers and averaged 8.672 on the season. Her season’s best score of 9.275 earned her third place in the event against Springfield. Scored 9.225 to finish fifth in a dual meet against Cortland.
 
2007: Brawn competed in five meets on the balance beam. She ended the season with a 9.0650 average. Brawn qualified for the NCGA finals, placing 33rd in the nation (8.600) and finished 31st at the ECAC meet (8.675).
 
High School: A 2005 graduate of Morse High School Brawn was coached by Gerry Bellemare and Kim Granger-Gethicker. She received the school’s Outstanding Gymnast Award and was the state runner-up in 2004. She placed third at the 2005 Maine state meet.

Personal: A health science major with a pre-med emphasis, she is the daughter of Clarence Brawn and Susan Hopkinson.
