2013: Malone competed in eight races as a junior. She clocked season-best times of 18:24.50 in the 5,000-meter run and 23:01.70 in the 6,000. Malone earned Empire 8 first-team recognition with a seventh-place finish and second-team All-NYSCTC honors placing 10th.
2012: Malone competed in nine races during her sophomore season. She tallied season-best times of 15:29.90 in the 4,000-meter run, 18:52.08 in the 5,000 and 23:06.80 in the 6,000. Malone placed ninth at the Empire 8 Championship to earn second-team all-conference nods.
2011: Malone competed in seven races as a freshman. She recorded season-best times of 16:52.20 in the 4,000-meter run, 19:52.00 in the 5,000 and 24:32.70 in the 6,000.
High School: A 2011 graduate of Eastridge High School, Malone was a four-year letter winner on the cross country and indoor and outdoor track & field teams. A team captain, she twice earned MVP honors and was named athlete and scholar athlete of the year. Malone, an all-county team selection, she was a state qualifier during the 2011 outdoor track & field season.
Personal: A student in the exploratory program, she is the daughter of David and Terasina Malone. She is also a member of Ithaca's track & field team.
