2019-2020
Fortner returned for another season on the Ithaca Sculling team, earning a fifth-place finish in the Collegiate Single at Small Boat Challenge in Mercer, NJ (10/5). The spring season was cut short after a week of rowing in Gainesville, GA that concluded with a scrimmage against Penn State and Catholic University. Fortner rowed three seat in the First Varsity Eight, contributing to a first-place finish.
2018-2019
Fortner competed in her first season on the Ithaca Sculling team in the fall. During her sculling debut, she earned a first-place finish in the Collegiate Double C Final at Small Boat Challenge in Mercer, N.J. (10/7). For the spring season, Fortner split time between the First and Second Varsity Eight. She started the season with two Liberty League Varsity Boat of the Week honors (4/7 and 4/29). Fortner raced in the First Varsity Eight at the Liberty League Championship in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. (5/3) earning a first-place finish and Team Championship title. At the New York State Championship in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. (5/4), her boat earned a second-place finish in the Varsity Eight, and contributed to the team winning the Team Points Trophy. Fortner contributed to a fifth-place finish in the First Varsity Eight Grand Final at the NIRC Regatta in Worcester, Mass. (5/12). Her boat earned a first-place finish in the Second Varsity Eight Petite Final and contributed to a fifth-place team finish at the NCAA Championship in Indianapolis, Ind. (6/1). Fortner was later honored as a member of the Liberty League Crew of the Year (First Varsity Eight).
2017-18
Fortner split time between the Women’s Novice Eight and the Women’s Second Varsity Eight during her debut with the Bombers. While in the Women’s Second Varsity Eight, she was part of the boat that was named Liberty League Boat of the Week (4/16)... In the Women’s Novice Eight, she contributed to a Second-Place finish, with a time of 8:28.628 at the New York State Championships (5/5)... And a Second-Place finish, with a time of 7:06.15 at the NIRC Women’s Championships (5/11)... And was named as part of the Liberty League Novice Crew of the Year...
High School
Fortner attended Frederick Law Olmsted School where she was on the varsity swimming team. During her prep career, she rowed for West Side Rowing Club.

June, a Speech Language Pathology & Audiology major, is the daughter of Robin Fortner.
