Biography

2010-11: Was not a member of the team.

2009-10: Koury was a seven-time indoor champion as a sophomore. He won ECAC championships in the 800- and 1,600-meter relays, earned NYSCTC championships in the 400 dash, 800 and 1,600 relays, and claimed Empire 8 championships in the 400 dash and the 4x400 relay. Koury also earned All-ECAC accolades in the 400, All-NYSCTC honors in the high jump and pentathlon and was the Empire 8 runner-up in the high jump. Outdoors Koury was an All-NYSCTC selection in the high jump, decathlon, 400 dash and 1,600 relay. He was named conference athlete of the week on March 29.

2008-09: Koury was named Empire 8 Rookie of the Year following the outdoor season. He scored points in three events at the conference meet, placing second in the 1,600-meter relay (3:22.23), third in the high jump (1.90 meters) and fourth in the 400 dash (49.98). At the NYSCTC Championships, he was again a member of the runner-up 1,600 relay team, while pacing third in both the decathlon (5,276) and 400 (50.32). Koury also earned All-ECAC honors by placing seventh in the 400 with a career-best time of 49.46. Indoors, Koury earned all-state honors in the high jump by placing eighth at 1.77 meters.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Nashoba Regional High School, Koury was coached by Ley Ricker and Jim Nosel. He earned five letters in track & field and was league champion in the 400-meter dash as a senior. He also served as a team captain.

Personal: A television and radio major, he is the son of David and Susan Koury.
