Ithaca College Athletics

2007-08: George was a member of two relays that earned all-state honors last season. The distance medley relay squad placed fourth at the NYSCTC Indoor Championships with the 3,200-meter relay team placing sixth. He was Ithaca’s top competitor in the mile run at the Empire 8 Indoor championships, placing fourth overall. Outdoors, he placed ninth in the mile at both the Empire 8 Championships and NYSCTC Championships.

2006-07: George primarily competed in the 1,500- meter run during the outdoor season, finishing 13th in the event at the state outdoor championships (4:07.33). At the Last Chance Meet at Randall Island, George qualified for the ECAC Championships by finishing seventh in the 1,500-meter run with a career-best time of 4:03.38. He placed 13th in the ECAC Championships in the event. George finished second in the 800-yard dash at the Ithaca Open (2:02.42). Indoors, George finished 19th at the NYSCTC Championships in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:35.21.

2005-06: George competed in the 800- and 1,500-meter run during the outdoor season. He recorded three top-15 finishes in the 1,500-meter run and placed 12th at the NYSCTC Championships with a time of 4:10.63. He recorded a pair of top-10 finishes in the 800-meter run and had a season best time of 2:05.30 at the Ithaca Invitational, placing him seventh overall.

High School: George was a member of the indoor and outdoor track and field teams at Walter Johnson High School. He served as team captain his senior year and was a state qualifier in the 4x800 relay (second) and the 800-meter run (seventh) and placed fourth at the Penn Relays in the 4x800 relay. George was also a member of the cross country team.

Personal: A clinical health studies/physical therapy major, he is the son of Raymond and Maureen George.
