Ithaca College Athletics

2009-10: During the indoor season of his junior year, Turnbull competed in four individual events and a pair of relays. He helped the Bombers to a 1:36.04 finish in the 800-meter relay and a 3:40.73 finish in the 1,600 relay. Individually, Turnbull notched season-best times of 6.86 in the 55 dash, 7.43 in the 60 dash, 23.95 in the 200 dash and 38.81 in the 300 dash. Outdoors, Turnbull ran on the Bombers’ record-setting 4x100 relay that finished in 41.84. He was a member of Ithaca’s NYSCTC champion 400-relay team and earned all-state accolades in the javelin and 100 dash. Turnbull recorded season-best performances of 11.32 in the 100 dash, 22.98 in the 200 dash and 49.42 in the javelin.

2008-09: Turnbull was a member of Ithaca’s 400-meter relay team that earned All-ECAC accolades with a fourth-place showing at the outdoor championships. The squad ran 42.70. Turnbull also earned all-state honors in the spring after placing eighth in the 100 dash with a time of 11.38 at the NYSCTC Championships.

2007-08: Turnbull earned All-ECAC honors as a freshman by being part of the 800-meter relay team that placed seventh at the ECAC Indoor Championships. That same relay team also placed second at the NYSCTC Indoor Championships, garnering Turnbull All-NYSCTC honors. During the outdoor season, Turnbull ran in the 100, 200, and 400 dashes at the Empire 8 Championships.

High School: Turnbull was a four-year member of the indoor and outdoor track & field teams at Barnstable High School. Outdoors, he was Old Colony League champion in the 100- and 200-meter dash events. Indoors, he was a two-time Old Colony League and Cape Cod all-star.

Personal: A sport management major, he is the son of Kurt and Nancy Turnbull. His brother, David, is a freshman at Ithaca.
