Biography
Fall 2007: Magnani played one match, falling in the first round of the St. Lawrence Fall Classic.
2006-07: Magnani won seven matches as a sophomore while losing just two. He was perfect in doubles play, winning three matches at third doubles for the Bombers. Magnani also played in six dual matches at sixth singles, recording a 4-2 mark. He won 6-0, 6-0 at sixth singles in the Empire 8 quarterfinal match against Elmira.
2005-06: Magnani posted a 1-0 record as a freshman, recording a 6-3, 6-3 singles win at sixth singles against Elmira. He was leading in sixth singles of the Bombers’ conference quarterfinal match against Utica, winning the first set 6-4, but the match was called because of time.
High School: A 2005 graduate of Oxford Academy, Magnani was coached by Fred Fazio and Susanna Colquitt. He earned two varsity letters and served as team captain his senior year. Magnani was an all-conference selection in singles play. He earned two additional varsity letters as a member of the soccer team.
Personal: An athletic training/exercise science major, he is the son of Geoff and Cindy Magnani. His father earned a master’s degree from Ithaca in 1982.
