Ithaca College Athletics

2012-13: Lichter was named a College Swimming Coaches Association First Team Scholar All-America selection, making him one of five Bombers to earn the honor. He earned all-state honors with a second place finish in the 20-yard breaststroke, a fourth place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, and back-to-back second place finishes as part of both the 200-yard and 400-yard medley relay teams at the UNYSCSA Championships. Lichter earned All-Empire 8 Second Team honors and was Ithaca’s representative as the Empire 8 Sportsman of the Year. He earned E8 Athlete of the Week on Jan. 21, 2013. 

2011-12: Lichter added three all-state finishes and three all-conference honors as a junior, including state and conference titles in the 400-yard medley relay. He placed second in the state in the 200-yard breaststroke and third in the 100 breast. His time of 2:08.03 moved him into second all-time at Ithaca in the 200 breast.

2010-11: Lichter added to his impressive resume as a sophomore with an Empire 8 championship in the 100-yard breaststroke and on the 200- and 400-yard medley relays. The 200 medley relay also won the UNYSCSA title. His time of 58.07 seconds in the 100-yard breaststroke is tied for third all-time.

2009-10: Lichter was one of Ithaca's top performers in the breaststroke as a freshman. He finished second among Empire 8 swimmers in the 200-yard breaststroke at the state and conference championship meet with a time of 2:11.68. Lichter was a member of all-state relays in the 200- and 400-yard medley relays, and the 200 medley relay team placed second in the Empire 8. He also swam individual medley and freestyle events.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Weston High School, Lichter swam for coach Claude Vallo. He competed in freestyle and breaststroke events and earned four varsity letters. He was a four-time dual county league all star, a section champion in the 100-yard breaststroke, and a state champion in the 200 free relay.

Personal: A student in the exploratory program, he is the son of Eric Lichter and Marie Tobin.
