Mike Wantuck completed his second season as diving coach for the Bombers in 2013-14. In his short time at Ithaca College, he has collected four UNYSCSA Conference Diving Coach of the Year honors, earning two for both men’s and women’s diving. In his first two seasons, his divers swept all events and were named UNYSCSA Divers of the Year and Empire 8 Divers of the Year (both men and women). He has also coached two all-Americans, guiding them to three all-America honors since 2012.
Wantuck represented the USA internationally throughout the 1980s. He captured the Swedish Cup, Bolzano International Combined, a Canadian National Championship and was awarded the 1986 Phillips Performance Award for outstanding performance, leadership and sportsmanship. He also served as an Athlete Representative to the USOC’s Athletes’ Advisory Council from 1988-1996.   Â
A two-time graduate of Ohio State, Wantuck was the NCAA National Champion on the 3-meter dive in 1987, and was consequently named the NCAA Division I Diver of the Year. A four time Big Ten Champion, Wantuck was also an 8-time all-American for the Buckeyes.Â
