Biography

2005-06: Suozzi won the conference title and was the state runner-up in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:57.41 and placed fifth at the state championships in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 52.49. Those times are good for fifth and fourth, respectively, on Ithaca’s top-times list. He also placed fifth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:58.86. Suozzi was a member of the fourth-place 800-yard freestyle relay, the fifth-place 400-yard medley relay and the seventh-place 400-yard freestyle relay teams. He recorded five wins in the 100- and 200-yard butterfly and the 200-yard individual medley. Suozzi placed second in the 200-yard individual medley at the Kumpf Invitational, helping lead Ithaca to a first-place team finish.

2004-05: Suozzi was a member of three winning relay squads during the season, including a victory in the 400-yard medley relay at the Rensselaer Invitational. At the Empire 8 Championship, Suozzi recorded three top-10 finishes, including fifth in the 400-yard individual medley (4:24.39), sixth in the 200-yard butterfly (2:01.74) and ninth in the 200-yard individual medley. He placed ninth at the state meet in the 400-yard individual medley. Suozzi recorded a pair of second place finishes against Union.

2003-04: Suozzi finished sixth in the 200-yard butterfly with a career-best time of 1:59.70 at the state meet. That time ranks 10th all-time at Ithaca. He also finished 12th in the 100-yard backstroke and 14th in the 100-yard butterfly at the UNYSCSA meet with career-best times of 56.99 and 54.72, respectively. Suozzi recorded three top-10 times at the Empire 8 meet, finishing third in the 200-yard butterfly, sixth in the 100-yard backstroke and ninth in the 100-yard butterfly.

High School: Suozzi is a 2003 graduate of Giulford High School.

Personal: A sports information and communication major, he is the son of Michael and Claire Suozzi.
