Biography

2005: A first-team Empire 8 all-star, Aoe started every game and recorded six points on two goals and two assists. He was named Empire 8 Player of the Week after scoring the first two goals of his career in a 2-0 victory over 21st-ranked Hamilton. He registered assists in victories over Nazareth and Misericordia. Aoe was part of a defense that set a team record with 12 shutouts and recorded a 0.42 goals-against average, fifth-best in Division III.
 
2004: Aoe was one of four Bombers to start every game. He helped anchor a defense that recorded 10 shutouts and compiled a goals-against average of 0.51 (the nation’s seventh-lowest figure). He assisted on the game’s only goal as Ithaca defeated sixth-ranked St. Lawrence.

2003: Aoe played in 14 games, including two starts, for the Bombers. He was part of a defense that allowed just 10 goals in 17 games and held nine opponents scoreless.

2002: Aoe played in 16 games with 10 starting assignments. He scored his first career point with an assist in a victory over Alfred.

High School: Aoe was coached by Al Mungo at Northern Highlands Regional High School.

Personal: The son of Shuji and Koko Aoe, he is an exercise science major.
