Biography

2004: Palilla finished as Ithaca’s leading scorer, despite missing the season’s first five games. He earned first-team all-conference and second-team all-region accolades. Palilla scored a pair of goals in the win over third-ranked Rochester in his first game of the season and was named Empire 8 Player of the Week. He picked up goals in Ithaca’s next three games (including game-winners against Utica and sixth-ranked St. Lawrence), giving him a four-game goal streak for the second straight year. He was named to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List following the fall semester.

2003: Palilla, a second-team Empire 8 selection, played in 14 games with 12 starts. He was one of just two freshmen to receive first- or second-team all-league honors. Palilla was the team’s second-leading scorer with 10 points on five goals. He recorded a goal in four straight games during the season, becoming the first Bomber in eight years to achieve that feat. His first career goal was in a 2-1 win over Nazareth. He followed that with two straight game-winning goal performances. Palilla was also named to the Empire 8 Presidents’ list following the fall and spring semesters.

High School: Palilla was named Athlete of the Year at Bethpage High School, where he was coached by Alan Weber.

Personal: A sport management major, he is the sun of Sal and Renee Palilla.
