2015: Carney saw action in 16 games this season for the Bombers…Recorded six starts on the year…Season highlight came against RIT on Oct. 28, where he finished with a game-winning goal and one shot…Recorded a season-high three shots against Utica on Sept. 19…Finished the season with one goal and one assist, totaling three points, and 12 shots.
2014: Carney played in 16 of the Bombers’ games in the 2014 season, starting in three. He finished the year with seven shots, three of which were on goal. He had a season-high two shots on goal against Elmira on Oct. 4, 2014.
2013: Carney saw action in 10 games and made seven starts for the Bombers in 2013. He totaled four points on the year, coming on a career-best two goals. Carney scored against Utica on Oct. 19 and Nazareth on Oct. 26, both of which were game winners.
2012: Carney played in all 18 of the Bombers’ games in 2012, earning 17 starts as a freshman. He led all first-year players with four points, scoring one goal and adding two assists. Carney, who ranked second on the roster with 27 shots, scored the game-winning goal in overtime for a 1-0 win against Houghton on Sept. 22, 2012.
High School: Carney is a graduate of Irondequoit High School. He played four years of varsity soccer for coach Steven Brickler and earned two varsity letters in lacrosse for coach Craig Whipple. Carney helped lead his team to a sectional championship in 2010, and earned all-tournament honors in 2010 and 2011. He was named the Class AA MVP in 2011.
Personal: Blair is a physical therapy major and is the son of Michael and Colleen Carney.
