Prior to Ithaca: McDermott was a member of Quinnipiac's baseball team from 2020-2022 and Queens University of Charlotte from 2023-2024. 

High School: A 2020 graduate of St. Joseph's Regional.

Personal: The son of Daniel and Kim McDermott, Andrew is Sports Psychology graduate student.
