Biography
2004: Maher, an honorable mention USILA all-American, played in 15 games with two starts. He earned first-team Empire 8 all-star honors and was also a second-team ECAC Upstate NY all-star. Maher ranked second on the team with 64 ground balls. He posted a career- and game-high 11 ground balls in a win over St. John Fisher. He collected seven ground balls in a 15-10 win over RIT. Maher led the team with six ground balls in the Empire 8 championship game against Nazareth.
2003: Maher played in eight games, tallying 11 ground balls. 2002: Maher played in four games, collecting six ground balls. He recorded his first career assist in a win over Oswego.
High School: At Chaminade High School, Maher was a two-year letter winner for coach Jack Moran. He was named to the all-Long Island team. Maher also played one season at Canterbury Prep for coach Pat Finn.
Personal: The son of Michael Maher and Jean Peters, he is a business administration major.
