Biography
2004: Casey, a second-team Empire 8 all-star, played in 14 games, including one start. He ranked second on the team with 20 assists. He recorded 34 points on 14 goals and 20 assists along with collecting 56 ground balls. Casey recorded a season-high five points twice, in wins over Alfred and Hartwick. He matched his career high in ground balls twice, collecting seven against Hartwick and Utica. He scored two goals, including the game-winner, and added two assists in a 15-10 win over RIT. Casey was named a third-team Inside Lacrosse preseason all-American.
2003: Casey, a second-team Empire 8 selection, played in all 14 games with two starting assignments. He ranked third on the team with 43 points on 16 goals and a team-high 27 assists. Casey also recorded 38 ground balls, including a career-high seven against Scranton. He recorded a career-high six points on a career-best six assists against RIT in the season finale. He had a career-high three goals against conference opponents Alfred and Utica.
2002: Casey played in 16 games, including one start. He collected 21 points on nine goals and 12 assists. He also picked up 20 ground balls. In a win over Oswego, Casey had a season-high three points (two goals, one assist). He scored his first career goal in a win over Elmira.
High School: Casey was a two-time letter winner in lacrosse for coach Shaun Smith at Corcoran High School. He was named the team’s offensive player of the year and was an all-league honorable mention selection.
Personal: The son of Ann Casey, he is a sport studies major.
