Biography
2004: Weil, an honorable mention USILA all-American, led the Bombers in scoring for the third straight season with 67 points on 38 goals and 29 assists. A first-team Empire 8 all-star and second-team ECAC Upstate NY all-star, Weil played in 15 games with 14 starts. Weil earned District I all-academic second team honors and was named Empire 8 player of the week three times. He ranks eighth all-time at Ithaca with 82 assists, 10th with 169 points and 14th with 87 goals. He scored a career-high 10 points on five goals and five assists against Hartwick in the Empire 8 semifinals. Weil combined for nine points on five goals and four assists in a win over Merchant Marine Academy. He recorded four game-winning goals and posted at least a point in every game he played in.
2003: Weil, a second-team Empire 8 selection, led the team in scoring for the second straight season with 48 points on 22 goals and 26 assists. He played in 13 games, with eight starting assignments. He picked up 46 ground balls, which ranked second on the team. In the first game of the season, Weil registered five points (two goals, three assists) in a win over Scranton. He closed out the year with a season-high seven points (three goals, four assists) against RIT. He recorded four or more points in six games.
2002: Weil was named Empire 8 rookie of the year, finishing his first season with a team-high 54 points on 27 goals and 27 assists. In the first round of the NCAA playoffs he scored a career-high eight points on four goals and four assists, including an assist on the winning goal in overtime against Western New England.
High School: Weil, the team’s offensive MVP, was a three-year letter winner for coach Stefan Henn at Amherst High School. His team won the 2001 Section VI Class B championship and he was named first-team all-Western New York.
Personal: A clinical exercise major, he is the son of Raymond and Carol Weil.
