Biography
2004: After racing just twice in the season’s first six weeks, Golding was Ithaca’s fourth runner at the regular season’s final race and at the state championships, then was the Bombers’ third finisher at regionals. He ran a season-best 27:36.7 at the NYSCTC meet, placing 48th, and finished 16th in the Empire 8 championship. Golding’s time at the regional meet was 26:59.6, good for 63rd overall.
2003: Golding, a second-team all-conference selection, ran in seven races, including the state and regional championships. He finished in Ithaca’s top seven in all but two races, where he finished eighth in both. He recorded a career-best time of 27:02 at the regional championships, finishing 62nd. Golding posted a season-best finish of 28th at Cortland.
2002: Golding competed in five races for the Bombers. He was Ithaca’s second finisher at Cornell’s Reif Invitational, placing third overall in 17:52. His top 8,000-meter time was 28:19.11 at the Geneseo Invitational. He finished 21st at the Hartwick Invitational.
High School: Jason Roderick was Golding’s cross country coach at Vermont Academy.
Personal: A recreation and leisure service major, he is the son of Tom and Diane Golding.
