2019-20
In the fall of 2019, Van Hoof rowed at the Head of Genesee in the MV8+ with a 1st place finish. Two weeks later he competed at the Head of the Charles in Ithaca’s MV8+ pulling hard for a top half finish of 10th place out of 38 boats. One week later he competed at the Head of the Schuylkill in the MV4+ finishing 13th out of 40 boats, he also rowed in the M2V8+ at the Schuylkill getting 10th out of 36 boats.

2018-19
Starting the 2018-19-year strong Steven rowed to 2nd place in the M2V8+ at the Head of the Genesee. Spring 2019 he rowed in the MV8+ which placed 3rd at the Liberty League Championship and 3rd at the NY State Collegiate Championship. His second spring season ended with a 12th place finish at NIRC in Worcester, MA.

2017-18
Van Hoof kicked off his Bomber debut splitting time between the Men’s Second Varsity Eight and the Men’s Novice Eight where he contributed to a Second-Place Finish at the NIRC Championship (5/11)... A Second-Place Finish at the New York State Championship Regatta (5/5)...

High School
Van Hoof graduated from Brookfield High School where he played football and ran indoor and outdoor track. During his prep career, he rowed at GMS Rowing Club.

Steven, a Physical Therapy major, is the son of Laura & Greg Van Hoof.
