2019-2020
In the fall of 2019 Sam rowed at the Head of Genesee in the M2V8+ with a 1st place finish. Two weeks later he competed at the Head of the Charles in Ithaca’s MV8+ pulling hard for a top half finish of 10th place out of 38 boats. He then rowed at Head of the Schuylkill in Ithaca’s M2V8+ one week later pulling hard for a top half finish of 10th place out of 36 boats.
2018-2019
Sam started his career at Ithaca in the MN8+ at the Head of the Genesee in 2018 with a first-place victory. In the spring of 2019 Sam rowed in the M2V8+ which won Liberty League boat of the week twice, in addition to getting 2nd place at the Liberty League Championship and 1st place at the NY State Collegiate Championship. His first spring season ended with an 8th place finish at NIRC in Worcester, MA.
High School
Sam attended Greenwich High School where he rowed earning 9th place at the 2018 youth national championship in the men’s four.
Personal
Sam is an Exercise Science major from Greenwich, Connecticut. Sam is the son of Susan and David Bickham.
