2019-20
In the fall of 2019, Ormsby rowed at the Head of Genesee in the MV8+ with a 1st place finish. Two weeks later he competed at the Head of the Charles in Ithaca’s MV8+ pulling hard for a top half finish of 10th place out of 38 boats. He then rowed to a 4th place finish at the Head of Schuylkill one week later.

2018-19
Starting the 2018-19 year with a victory Ormsby rowed to 1st place in the MV8+ at the Head of the Genesee. Spring 2019 he rowed in the MV8+ which placed 3rd at the Liberty League Championship and 3rd at the NY State Collegiate Championship. His second spring season ended with a 12th place finish at NIRC in Worcester, MA.

2017-18
Ormsby kicked off his Bomber debuit in the Men’s Varsity Eight where he contributed to a Sixth-Place Finish in the Petite Final at the NIRC Championship (5/11)... A Fourth-Place Finish at the New York State Championship Regatta (5/5)... Part of Varsity Eight boat that came in Third-Place in five-team final hosted by Worcester Polytechnic Institute (4/21)...  He was also part of the crew that was named the Liberty League Boat of the Week for their Third-Place finish at the Head of the Fish (10/30)... and was a member of the Liberty League Boat of the Week again in the spring after a triumph over St. Lawrence at home (4/16)...

High School
Ormsby graduated from Fayetteville-Manilus High School where he began his rowing career. He was coached by Dave Cusano and Tim Griffin. During his prep career, he came in Second-Place at the 2017 New York State High School Championship and Forth-Place at the National Championship in 2017.

Personal
Evan, a Public and Community Health major, is the son of Julie & Graham Ritchie & Adam Ormsby. His twin brother, Seth, is also on IC's men's crew team.
