2007-08: Friedland appeared in seven games as a junior, recording 15 rebounds and eight points.
High School: A 2005 graduate of Staples High School, Friedland was coached by Jason Kirck. He was team captain and team MVP of the basketball team his senior season. Friedland also earned three varsity letters as a member of the two-time state champion Staples football squad.
Personal: A speech communication major, he is the son of Ed and Lisa Friedland.
