Biography
High School: At Fredonia High School, Kern was a three-year starter for coach Dave Polechetti. A 1,000 point scorer, he was named to Observer and CCIAC Player of the Year following his senior season. Kern earned All-Western New York and Post Journal First Team honors his junior and senior seasons. Kern also played shortstop for the school's baseball team.
Personal: A student in the exploratory program, he is the son of Richard and Mary Kern.
