Career statistics

2011: McElroy played in six games off the bench as part of Ithaca’s linebacking corps. | 2011 game-by-game statistics

2010: McElroy played in five games as a back-up linebacker. He made his varsity debut in the season-opening victory over St. Lawrence. McElroy’s first career tackle came against Alfred. | 2010 game-by-game statistics

2009: McElroy was a reserve linebacker as a sophomore.

2008: McElroy played on the Bomber junior varsity team. He was named Ithaca’s Special Teams Scout Team Player of the Week following the win over Frostburg State.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Belvidere High School, McElroy was coached by Larry Dubiel. A two-year team captain, he earned first-team honors on the all-conference, all-county and all-area teams.

Personal: A sport management major, he is the son of Lanny McElroy and Susan Dorsek.
