Sean Reeder was hired as the offensive line coach for the Ithaca College football program in May 2017, and in the spring of 2022, he was promoted to offensive coordinator.

Reeder made an immediately impact in the offense's production, as the Bombers rushed for nearly 40 more yards (118.5 to 70.8) from a season ago (2016 to 2017) and allowed 21 fewer sacks (19 to 40). Ithaca also averaged five more points per game. Two linemen were named All-Liberty League at the end of the season (Geoff Bell '18 and Jae Choi '20).

In 2018, seniors Jake Bernstein and Bobby Puckey were named All-Liberty League after another productive season on the line. IC averaged 22.9 points and 352.9 yards per game. Bernstein would also be named All-ECAC, while the duo earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors.

The 2019 Bombers were one of the most prolific offenses in program history. Ithaca averaged 37.6 points per game and 447.8 yards of offense. IC averaged 323.0 yards passing and 124.8 yards rushing. The Bombers scored more than 30 points in seven games, including 66 in the opener against Saint Vincent and 59 against St. Lawrence and Rochester.

IC's 2021 team went 8-2 on the season and averaged 30.6 points per game. Jake Villanueva, an offensive guard, was named All-American by the Associated Press and the AFCA. Running back Jalen Hines was named Liberty League Rookie of the Year.

The 2022 season was highlighted by a 12-1 record and a trip to the NCAA Quarterfinals. Ithaca averaged over 37 points a game and nearly 200 yards on the ground. A.J. Wingfield was named Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year and Reeder was honored as part of the Coaching Staff of the Year. Villanueva would repeat as an AP Second Team All-American.

Reeder comes to South Hill after a two-year stint at Division II Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska, where he served as a graduate assistant offensive line coach.

Prior to that, he spent a year at California Lutheran University as a tight ends and assistant offensive line coach for the Kingsmen. He also assisted at Agoura High School for the 2013 season.

As a student-athlete, Reeder played at Johns Hopkins University and graduated in 2013. While a part of the Hopkins program, Reeder played in three NCAA Division III playoffs as an offensive lineman.

Reeder earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering from JHU and his master's in exercise science at Wayne State College.
