Gary Bucci

Gary Bucci entered his sixth season with the Bomber staff in 2006 after previously coaching at Ithaca from 1977 to 1983. He helped the Bombers to three NCAA playoff appearances, including the 1979 national championship.

A 1976 Ithaca graduate, Bucci was a standout athlete in two sports. He was a three-year starter at defensive back in football (and filled in as starting quarterback as a sophomore) and was an outfielder on the baseball team for three years. He played in the 1974 and 1975 Stagg Bowls and the 1976 College World Series.
