2026: Prior to the season - Played in five international caps for the Puerto Rico Senior National Field Hockey Team at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo.

2025: Appeared in 18 games, with one start...Ruiz contributed seven shots on goal and the game-winning goal against St. John Fisher (9/6).

Prior to Ithaca: Sadie spent her first collegiate season at Division I Fairfield University.

High School: Sadie was a standout student-athlete at Wethersfield High School in field hockey and lacrosse. In field hockey, she recorded 65 goals and 36 assists, led her team to the 2021 state final, and graduated as the program’s all-time leading goal scorer. She earned NFHCA All-Region, First Team All-State twice, and All-Conference honors three times. In lacrosse, she finished as the school’s all-time leader in goals and points and was a three-time All-Conference selection.

Personal: Sadie is majoring in psychology and is the daughter of MaryAnn Simkewicz and Karlo Ruiz. She has a younger brother.
