Biography
2012-13: Finished third in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 11:32.75 against Brockport to open the season. He also competed in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard freestyle relay.Â
2009-10: Zajdel swam distance freestyle events as a freshman and was a state-meet qualifier in the 200, 500- and 1,650-yard freestyle. His best finish, 19th, came in the 1,650 free with a time of 17:31.96. It was Ithaca's second-fastest time of the season in that event.
High School: A 2009 graduate of Stamford High School, Zajdel swam for coach Rick Lewis, earning four varsity letters. He was captain of the swim team during the 2008-09 season.
Personal: A student in the exploratory program, he is the son of Joe and Alison Zajdel.
