2011-12: Martin swam sprint freestyle events as a sophomore.

2010-11: As a freshman, Martin competed in freestyle events.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Hamilton Central School, Martin was a five-year varsity swimmer for Sherburne-Earlville and coach Corey Dubois. Martin was a four-time team most valuable player, a two-year captain, and won the Section III Class C championship in the 100-yard backstroke as a sophomore and junior. She also competed in volleyball (three years) and softball (four years) for Hamilton and was a team captain on both teams, and earned all-league recognition in all three sports.

Personal: A physical therapy major, Sam is the daughter of Dan and Cindy Martin.
