Biography

2011-12: Keesler earned three all-state and two all-conference finishes as a senior in backstroke and relay events. Keesler placed second in the 200-yard backstroke at the UNYSCSA championships with a time of 2:05.34 and she was sixth in the 100 back. She also swam on Ithaca's all-state and all-conference 800-yard freestyle relay.

2010-11: Keesler earned all-state honors in both backstroke events as a junior, the third-straight year she earned all-state honors in both backstroke distances.

2009-10: Keesler added two more All-American honors as a sophomore, as she was part of Ithaca's 400-yard medley relay team that placed sixth at the national meet and the 200-yard medley relay that placed 11th. Ithaca's 400 medley relay team also captured state and conference titles. She earned individual Empire 8 titles in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke. Keesler also earned all-state honors in both backstroke events, and was a state and conference runner-up with the 200-yard medley relay team.

2008-09: Keesler earned first team All-American honors as a freshman on Ithaca’s 400-yard medley relay team that placed sixth at the NCAA Championship meet. The same relay also won UNYSCSA and Empire 8 titles in a school-record time of 3:51.34. A backstroke specialist, Keesler won the Empire 8 title in the 200-yard backstroke and finished second in the UNYSCSA with a school-record time of 2:05.27. She was Empire 8 runner-up and fifth in the state in the 100 back with a time of 58.77 seconds, which is third fastest in Ithaca history.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Union-Endicott High School, Keesler was coached by Joe Peranski. She earned three letters, was a WBNG Academic All Star, was the Section IV Class A 2007 100-yard backstroke champion and was a team captain.

Personal: The daughter of Ross and Janet Keesler, she is a physical therapy major.
