2009: Janda was named a first-team all-region and all-conference selection and was the Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year. She also earned first-team ECAC recognition. She was named Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in her career (she’s the only non-goalkeeper to ever win the award), picking up the honor after helping the Bombers shut out three conference opponents while allowing nine shots on goal in 270 minutes.

2008: Janda was one of the region’s top defensive players, earning first-team all-conference and second-team all-region accolades. Her performance in Ithaca’s shutout at Stevens (which snapped the Ducks’ 44-match home winning streak) made her the first non-goalkeeper to ever earn Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week honors. Janda assisted on the game-tying goal at Eastern as the Bombers rallied to win 3-2.

2007: Janda was one of the top newcomers to Ithaca’s nationally ranked defensive unit, earning honorable mention to the Empire 8 all-star team. She was the only Bomber freshman to start every match. Janda picked up her first career point in the win at St. John Fisher, assisting on the game’s final match.

High School: A 2007 graduate of West Boylston High School, Janda was coached by Paul Mumby. An all-state selection who earned four letters, she was named district and league MVP.
Personal: A clinical exercise science major, she is the daughter of Bob and Judy Janda. Her sister Michelle, a 2002 Ithaca graduate, was an all-region field hockey player as a Bomber.
