Biography

Individual Game-by-Game

2008: Bedard set an Ithaca single-season record with 48 assists. She enters the 2009 season with 81 in her career, second most in program history. She needs just eight more to become the Bombers’ career leader in assists. Her seven assists against RIT tied the Ithaca single-game record. Bedard also scored 17 goals and led the Bombers with 65 points, both new career highs. She twice tied her career-high with three goals and set a new career-high with 10 points against RIT. She also picked up a career-high six ground balls against the Tigers. Bedard scored game-winning goals against Utica and in the Empire 8 tournament against Nazareth. She was named to the Empire 8 and IWLCA Empire Region all-star teams, both times as a second-team selection.

2007: Bedard was a third-team pick to the NYSWCAA all-star team after leading the Bombers in assists and ranking second on the team in points and ground balls. Her 30 assists matched the program’s second-highest single-season total. She had at least one assist in 14 of 15 games and collected a career-best four in the win over RIT. Bedard matched career-best totals with three goals and six points against St. John Fisher in the Empire 8 playoffs. She posted season-best figures of five ground balls and three caused turnovers in the win over Sweet Briar.

2006: Bedard was Ithaca’s top-scoring freshman despite missing four games. In her first collegiate game, she scored two goals against Roanoke in the season opener. Her five ground balls in that game were a season-high. Bedard netted a career-best three goals against Rochester.

Career Statistics

High School: A 2005 graduate of East Longmeadow High School Bedard was coached by Diane Lussier. She served as team captain and was a two-time all-region selection.

Personal: An exercise science/athletic training major, she is the daughter of Jim and Jane Bedard.
