Ithaca College Athletics

2008-09: Kucsan swam in distance freestyle events for the Bombers and turned in scoring performances in the 1,650-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle at the state and conference championship meets. Her time of 18:29.77 was 10th-fastest in the state and third fastest of the season for an Ithaca swimmer. She also placed 20th in the 500 free with a time of 5:24.01.

2007-08: Kucsan placed fourth in the 1,650-yard freestyle at RIT's Don Richards Invitational, where her time of 19:02.54 was Ithaca's best of the season. She was fourth in the 1,000-yard freestyle at Hamilton, recording the second-best time by a Bomber all season (11:19.67). She was named to the Empire 8 Presidents' List following the fall semester.

2006-07: Kucsan posted two top-15 finishes at the state meet, finishing 13th in the 500-yard freestyle (5:00.74) and 15th in the 200-yard butterfly (2:24.03). She also competed in the 1,650-yard freestyle, placing 25th (19:25.00). During the season, Kuscan placed second in the 200-yard freestyle in Ithaca's win over Alfred and third in the 400-yard individual medley in Ithaca's win over Rochester.

High School: A 2006 graduate of Bridgewater-Raritan High School, Kucsan was coached by Matt Donovan. She was a four-year letter winner as a member of the swimming & diving team and served as team captain her junior and senior years. She helped lead her team to three sectional championships and one conference title and was an all-conference and all-county selection in the 200-yard freestyle. Kucsan also earned all-conference honors in the 500-yard freestyle and the 400-yard freestyle relay. She was named an academic all-American as a senior and was a member of the 2006 YMCA state championship team.

Personal: An occupational science/occupational therapy major with a Spanish minor, she is the daughter of Gary and Barbara Kucsan.
