Ashley Martel

Biography

2007: Martel competed in six meets on the balance beam, and earned her top score (9.400) at the Harriet Marranca Memorial Invitational. She also competed in two meets in the floor exercise and averaged 8.3250 in those meets.

2006: Martel competed on the balance beam in every Bomber meet. Her top score – 9.075 – was good for a fourth-place finish at Ithaca’s Harriet Marranca Memorial Invitational. She also placed fourth against Springfield, posting a score of 8.925.
2005: Martel did not see any action as a freshman because of an injury.

High School: Martel competed at Docksiders Gymnastics Club, where she was coached by Bob Oulette. She was a Level 9 Eastern qualifier. She placed third at the regionals in the all-around in 2004.

Personal: A therapeutic recreation major, she is the daughter of David and Ruth Martel.
