Biography

2005: Lewis made an immediate impact as freshman for the Bombers. She recorded Ithaca’s top average in the all-around competition, uneven bars and balance beam and was second on the vault. At Ithaca’s Harriett Marranca Memorial Invitational, she scored a 37.925 in the all-around, the second-highest score in school history. Lewis also matched the fifth-best mark on the uneven bars (9.45) and in the floor exercise (9.700). Lewis had a strong performance at her first ECAC Championships.  She placed seventh in the floor exercise (9.650) and eighth on the vault (9.425), uneven bars (9.100) and in the all-around competition (36.600). Lewis recorded four first-place finishes and nine second-place finishes throughout the season.

Club: Lewis was coached by Dan Aldrich and Simeon Bonanni at New Generations Gymnastics Center. She was the silver medalist in the all-around at the 2002 Empire State Games and the 2003 Level 9 state champion in the all-around. Lewis also took second in the uneven bars and vault at the 2003 Level 9 state championships. The 2004 Region 6 all-around runner-up she was a two-time qualifier for the Eastern championships.

Personal: The daughter of David Lewis and Brenda Lewis, she is a television/radio major.
