Ithaca College Athletics

2006-07: Aucoin earned all-state honors in the long jump both indoors and outdoors, placing seventh in the NYSCTC outdoor championships with a jump of 6.36 meters (20-10 ½) and finishing eighth in the indoor championships. Outdoors, Aucion was the Empire 8 champion in the long and triple jump, winning the triple jump with a mark of 13.00 meters (42-8). Indoors, Aucion was the conference champion in the long jump and runner-up in the triple jump. During the outdoor season, Aucion recorded 12 top-10 finishes, including a victory in the triple jump in the Ithaca Open. Aucoin recorded season best finishes in the triple jump (13.20m/43-03 ¾) and the long jump (6.55m/21-6) at the Cornell Big Red Invitational, qualifying for ECACs in both events. He placed 10th in the long jump at the ECAC outdoor championship. Aucoin was named to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List following the spring semester.

2005-06: Aucoin earned second-team all conference honors in the triple jump with a distance of 12.65 meters (41-6), which was good for eighth at the state indoor championships. He also placed third in the conference, 12th in the state, in the long jump with a leap of 6.08 meters (19-11 ½) and recorded a season-best mark of 6.22 meters (20-5) at Cornell’s Robert Kane Invitational, placing him 17th. He had a season-best time of 7.58 in the 60-meter dash at Army and 24.93 in the 200-meter dash at the Kane Invitational. Aucoin won the conference title in the long jump (6.38m/20-11 ¼) and was the runner-up in the triple jump (12.08m/39-7 ¾) at the outdoor championships, placing him fifth and eighth in the state, respectively. He placed 15th at the ECAC Championships in the long jump at 6.18 meters (20-3 ½). Aucoin recorded two-top-five finishes in the 100-meter dash during the outdoor season, including a second-place finish at Ithaca’s Tri-Meet.

High School: Aucoin was a member of the baseball, basketball and soccer teams while attending Nathan Hale Ray High School.

Personal: A psychology major, he is the son of Cathy Chapman.
