Biography

2006-07: Wilson was an all-UNYSCA performer in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the state championships, finishing fourth in the event with a time of 16:52.04. Wilson was also a member of the sixth-place 800-yard freestyle relay team at the state meet. Wilson recorded two other top-15 finishes at the state championships, finishing 12th in the 500-yard freestyle (4:53.58) and 14th in the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.34). Wilson recorded a win in the 1,000-yard freestyle against Rensselaer and also earned second-place finishes in the 1,650-yard freestyle at RIT’s Don Richards Invitational and in the 1,000-yard freestyle at Rensselaer’s Henry Kumpf Invitational. On the season, Wilson recorded 17 top-three finishes.
 
2005-06: Wilson recorded three top-20 finishes at the state championships, including an eighth-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:09.28. He also placed 12th in the 500-yard freestyle (4:55.00) and 16th in the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.88). Each of those times is a career-best.
 
High School: A 2004 graduate of Springville Griffith High School, Wilson was coached by Bill McDonaugh.  He was named the team’s most improved performer his junior year.
 
Personal: An accounting and business administration major, he is the son of Mark and Angela Wilson.
