2009-10: Nunez earned First Team All-Empire 8 recognition in doubles play. Nunez was 17-9 overall in doubles, and 13-5 when paired with her sister Cristina. Nunez also went 14-6 in singles play and had a career-high 31 combined victories on the year.

2008-09: Nunez tied for the team lead in doubles victories (14) with partner Melanie Cohen and was 5-2 in singles play. Her 19 victories ranked fifth on the team. Nunez was 2-0 at fifth singles in Empire 8 play and 4-0 in conference doubles matches.

2007-08: Nunez was 8-2 overall in singles matches, including a 5-1 record in dual matches and went 15-9 in doubles play. Her 23 wins ranked fourth on the team.
High School: A 2007 graduate of Morris Hills High School, Nunez was coached by William Nieman. She was a four-year letter winner as a member of the tennis team and earned all-conference and all-county honors.
Personal: An athletic training major, Melissa is the daughter of Bob and Ruth Nunez. Her sister, Cristina, is also enrolled at Ithaca College and is a member of the women’s tennis team.
