Biography
2006-07: Senecal ranked eighth on the team in points as a junior and scored in two events at the state championships. She placed 15th in the 100-yard breaststroke and 22nd in the 100-yard freestyle. Senecal was also a member of the 200-yard freestyle and 200- and 400-yard medley relay teams that placed 18th, 19th and 20th, respectively.
2005-06: Senecal competed in the breaststroke and freestyle events as a sophomore. She finished 17th in the 100-yard breaststroke and 19th in the 100-yard freestyle at the NYSWCAA Championships. Senecal was third in the 50-yard freestyle in the Bombers’ win over Alfred.
2004-05: Senecal participated on several successful freestyle relay teams for the Bombers. She swam on the first place 400-yard freestyle relay team that finished first against Bloomsburg with a time of 3:51.78 (that same team finished second against Cortland with a season-best time of 3:51.57), and first place 200-yard freestyle relay teams against Alfred (1:47.30) and William-Smith (1:50.13). Individually, she finished third in the 50-yard freestyle against Rochester (26.53) and fifth in the same event against Bloomsburg (26.40).
High School: A 2004 graduate of Drury High School, Senecal was coached by Tammi Filiaut at Hoosac Valley High School. She earned four varsity letters and served as team captain her senior year. She set the school record in the 50-yard freestyle, 200- and 400-yard freestyle relay and the 200-yard medley relay events and was an all-county and all-region selection. She was also a member of the softball and track & field teams at Drury.
Personal: An exercise science major, she is the daughter of Paul and Roberta Senecal.
