Biography
2006: Palmese played in 12 games and led the Empire 8 in goals-against average. She had a hand in 11 shutouts and finished the season with 11 straight scoreless appearances (covering a span of 257:07). She made a season-high three saves against #12 Oneonta, playing the second half and overtime. Palmese earned the win with a first-half shutout of Alfred.
2005: Palmese did not allow a goal and recorded seven saves as Ithaca’s back-up goalkeeper. She recorded her first career solo shutout in an Empire 8 win at Elmira. Palmese made a career-best five saves in that win and followed it up by stopping two shots in a scoreless second half against Hartwick. Those two performances earned her Empire 8 Goalie of the Week honors. She also held Alfred scoreless in the second half of a Bomber win.
2004: Palmese played in five games as Ithaca’s back-up goalkeeper and did not allow a goal. She made her first career start against Simmons and earned the win by making two saves. She made a season-high three saves in a 22:30 stint against Clarkson.
High School: A 2004 graduate of Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School, Palmese was coached by Jodi Horwitz. She was an all-conference selection and team captain and MVP as a senior. She also lettered in basketball.
Personal: An occupational therapy major, she is the daughter of Edward and Lori Palmese.
