Biography
2006-07: Schwartz ranked 13th on the team in points as a junior and scored twice at the state championships, placing 17th in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke. She also placed 14th as a member of the 800-yard freestyle relay team.
2005-06: Schwartz was a member of the NYSWCAA and Empire 8 championship 800-yard freestyle relay team and was 12th on the team in scoring with 131.25 points. She also placed 11th in the 500- and 1,650-yard freestyle and 13th in the 50- and 200-yard freestyle events at the state championships. Schwartz recorded four top-three finishes in the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events.
2004-05: Schwartz was a member of the Empire 8 runner-up and NYSCTC third-place 800-yard freestyle relay team that finished with a time of 8:04.13 at the state meet. She placed sixth in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the same meet with a time of 18:36.56. Schwartz’s top finish of the year came at Rensselaer, where she was victorious in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:51.11.
High School: A 2004 graduate of Concord Carlisle High School, Schwartz was coached by Jerry Moss. She earned four varsity letters as a member of the swimming & diving team and served as team captain her junior and senior years. She was a league all-star and was the recipient of the team's Most Improved (2002) and Most Valuable Player (2003) awards. Schwartz also lettered in lacrosse.
Personal: A business administration major with a management concentration, she is the daughter of Norbert and Maureen Schwartz.
