Biography
2006: Catella competed in five events as a junior, recording four top-25 finishes. She placed 15th at Houghton’s Highlander Invitational and recorded a season-best time of 20:06 at the Empire 8 Championship, placing her 25th in the conference. Catella placed 18th and 19th at invitationals hosted by Hamilton and Oneonta, respectively.
2005: Catella competed in four races as a sophomore, placing in Ithaca’s top seven at Houghton and Hamilton. She finished 14th at Houghton’s Highlander Invitational.
2004: Catella competed in four races before shin splints sidelined her for the remainder of her freshman season. She ran in Ithaca’s top seven at Dickinson. She recorded a 20th-place finish at Oneonta’s Fortin Park Airfield Invitational.
High School: At Oneonta High School, Catella did not compete in cross country; she was a member of the soccer, basketball and track & field teams.
Personal: A health education major, she is the daughter of James and Lee Catella.
